Background

Ghana is the gateway to investments in Africa! Characterised by stable democracy, rule of law, stable and  improving macro-economic environment, rich culture, friendly people, and abundant investment opportunities, Ghana is poised to be the leading destination for large investments in infrastructure projects and businesses; as well as medium to small investments in thriving and growth stage SMEs operating in different sectors of the economy. 

ThirdWell Inclusive Business Centre (IBC) focuses on a driving investments into and partnerships with a crop of businesses officially accredited as ‘Inclusive Business (IB) / Inclusive Green Business (IGB)’ in Ghana. Inclusive businesses are private sector companies that generate profits by providing goods, services, and livelihood opportunities to people at the Base of the Pyramid (BoP)  on a commercially viable basis, making them a part of the company's value chain as customers, suppliers, distributors, or employees. There are currently twenty-seven (27) businesses accredited in Ghana. These businesses are officially and nationally recognized as impact-driven and commercially viable companies. 

IBC is dedicated to promoting and growing inclusive businesses in Ghana. We believe in the power of inclusive business to drive positive and sustainable social and economic change. Our focus is to create a credible ecosystem for sustainable and impactful solutions that benefit both investors, businesses and local communities.

Seminar Focus 

Our seminar will thus highlight investment ready and partnership opportunities in thriving and growth stage impact SMEs in Ghana. Most importantly, the seminar will focus on the role IBC will play in guaranteeing a smooth engagement, partnership and investment process. IBC creates a unique and secured environment for investors to safely invest and manage their investments and help navigate the nuances of the local environment. 

Seminar Objectives

Firstly, the seminar aims to showcase investment ready and partnership opportunities in SMEs in Ghana, some of whom will be represented by their Founders and CEOs at The Business Show Asia. 

Secondly, the seminar aims to assure potential investors and partner firms of IBCs capacity and commitment to ensure a safe environment for engaging, partnering and investing in Ghanaian firms. From airport pickups through arranging meetings with businesses, regulatory bodies; local financial institutions; and development partners; through to structuring investment and partnership deals; our highly experienced finance, legal and governance experts work around the clock to ensure a stress-free investment process. 

Lastly, the seminar aims to achieve a credible pipeline of investor/partner interest in investment ready and partnership opportunities, upon which further follow-ups will lead to actual investments and partnerships.
