AI is rapidly reshaping accounting and finance workflows and functions, but much of the discussion remains conceptual. This session focuses on how AI is being deployed within operational accounting and finance environments today, with a clear emphasis on measurable outcomes and frameworks.

Alex Surace, Director of CountHQ, will present real-world applications including but not limited to transaction processing, bank reconciliations, payroll, month-end reporting for finance managers and CFOs and tax processes. Drawing on experience supporting finance managers and CFOs, the session will demonstrate how AI, combined with structured offshore delivery models, is improving throughput, consistency, and control across finance operations.

The session will include a series of short live or recorded demonstrations, illustrating how AI tools and large language models are applied within production workflows and existing software set ups. This includes document analysis and extraction, transaction coding, payroll validation, and AI-assisted preparation and review of financial reports. The latest capabilities of AI will be presented.

The examples will be illustrative of what is possible with a well defined process and relatively simple use of readily available tools.
